Our 2022 commitments

St Pierre Groupe is committed to helping support local, national and international causes throughout the year. Find out more about some of the organisations that St Pierre Groupe is currently working with below.

LOCAL

Eat Well MCR

The charity provides chef-made meals to people sidelined by poverty across Greater Manchester. They partner with organisations to deliver up to 1,000 meals every week to people in the local community including families living in temporary accommodation, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, food banks looking after families and single parents in dire straits, and schools whose families are experiencing food poverty and inequality.

St Pierre Groupe started working with Eat Well MCR in 2022 and in 2023 committed to funding the rental of their new premises, allowing more resources to be dedicated to getting quality food to the most vulnerable people in our community. We regularly volunteer on ‘batch cook’ days and support fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Food donations

St Pierre Groupe regularly makes food donations to charity partners including local food banks, local school breakfast clubs, The Message Community Grocery and Eat Well MCR.

NATIONAL

The Christie

The charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. It is one of the largest hospital charities in the UK with 82p in every pound raised going directly to the patients of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The Christie charity exists to raise funds and receive donations for the benefit of the patients of The Christie so that they can be offered access to leading treatments, outstanding care and the opportunity for the best outcomes. The charity raises money for a range of vital projects and initiatives focusing on four main areas: research, care and treatment, education and extra patient services.

St Pierre Groupe is proud to have raised more than £10,000 for The Christie.

Working Options in Education

The employability and life skills charity has been helping young people to aim high and fulfil their potential since 2010. Their Career Pathways programme is delivered free in state schools, colleges and online by industry volunteers and helps students aged 14-19 to identify and pursue their career options. Through practical help and advice, they build their skills, and become confident to face their future after education, with choices.

St Pierre Groupe is proud to have helped support young people get into the food and drink industry through fundraising and mentorship programs, including the 2022 Half Marathon, masterclasses for the food and drink industry and financial donations to aid the work of the charity.

Fare Share

As the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations, Fare Share is an important organisation to the nation. They take good quality surplus food from across the food industry and get it to more than 10,500 frontline charities and community groups. The food is donated to causes such as school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters and community cafes.

St Pierre Groupe is committed to making significant product donations to Fare Share and its partners throughout the year.

INTERNATIONAL

In 2022, St Pierre Groupe made product donations to the Polish border with Ukraine and organised several fundraising activities to support relief charities operating in Ukraine. The business also supported US charities Meals on Wheels and The Down Syndrome Alliance with volunteers, sponsorship and donations.
