OUR IMPACT
HOW ST PIERRE GROUPE IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Our products can be found on supermarket shelves and restaurant menus around the world, through more than 60,000 outlets.
As a distributor of FMCG products, we understand that we have a role to play in the fight against climate change. From our packaging to our energy use, we are taking steps forward and have committed to a series of measures to actively reduce our impact on the planet.
What’s more, all St Pierre Groupe products benefit from extended shelf-life, helping to reduce food waste across the globe.

ENERGY USE
As a branded bakery business, selling products around the world, energy use is a key area of focus for us. The business is committed to an annual review of its transportation, in order to reduce carbon footprint in line with all international guidelines.
SUPPLY CHAIN
We ensure every shipment is optimised so that we never use more energy than is required. We also review suppliers and their supply chain as part of our vetting system and Supplier Code of Conduct.
PACKAGING
St Pierre Groupe is a member of the On-Pack Recycling Label scheme OPRL (UK) and How2Recycle (USA). As a business we are committed to providing transparent communication on all products as to the recyclability of our packaging. We work with our manufacturing partners to ensure that greener solutions are used wherever possible, without compromising product quality.
REDUCING FOOD WASTE
As part of our commitment to reducing waste, St Pierre Groupe products all benefit from extended life. Bakery goods are more likely than any other household food item, to be thrown away. St Pierre Groupe believes in making bakery magnifique – and as part of that mission, we are ensuring that our products do not go to waste.
As a business, St Pierre Groupe donates products regularly to food banks via charity partners, to ensure that its products are never wasted. If any of its products are not suitable for charitable donation, we, at St Pierre Groupe head office, work with local farmers, donating any baked goods for animal feed wherever possible.
Part of what allows St Pierre Groupe products to maintain shelf life and reduce food waste is the plastic packaging in which they are sold. Whilst of course, the business recognises that there is work to be done in reducing reliance on plastic packaging, it is committed to exploring greener alternatives where such solutions do not compromise on product quality.
